What to Pack for some Yacht Life Frenzy

If you are anything like me, then you are prone to spend much of your summer lounging on a moving yacht! I love yachting, it must be one of my favorite activities!! However, spending time on a yacht means being away from the shore, and from access to everything you need. This is why you need to know exactly what to pack for a yacht trip, especially if it’s going to last a few days. Below in this article, I will list to you all the essentials you need to pack, to go yachting for anything from 2 days to 7:

  • Two to four sundresses: Yes, because one might get wet and you might have to wear the other, until it’s dry and ready again! You also need to think of your social media! You won’t be uploading a ton of pictures in the same sundress!
  • Hats and sunglasses: Do I really need to explain that?
  • Non slippery flip-flops: Focus on “non-slippery” because the sun deck is super slippery when wet!
  • At least two towels: So you get to wash and change them as needed.
  • Several swim suits of “the same design”: So you get to change colors without having ridiculously different tan lines!
  • Face and body sunscreens: If you are spending days on a yacht, you will need sun protection not only for your face, but also for your body. You can opt for 50 SPF for your face and a 20 SPF for your body.
  • Face and body moisturizers: Opt for rich moisturizers for both your face and body so you can make up for all the drying effects of the sun by day. If you are staying in a yacht overnight, for multiple days, both the sun and the salty wind will be working again your skin; so make sure you moisturize heavily by night. You can also use these moisturizers under your sunscreen so you stay moisturized by day.
  • A healthy lips kit: A scrub and a rich balm for your lips are essential because salty water can cause shipped lips. Constantly moisturize your lips by day, and scrub them once during the night.
  • A rich hair conditioner and a protecting spray: Ocean’s wind, salt and the sun can be very drying for your hair; so it’s better to protect your hair while in the high seas, than having to deal with damaged hair later. Spray your hair with a protecting lotion all day long, then use a rich conditioner or mask during your shower by the end of the day. (I personally sleep with a rich mask on, then wash my hair when I wake up).
  • Waterproof makeup: Well, yes! Some of us do wear some makeup while sailing or yachting. So opt for waterproof products; and preferably natural products that do not react badly when exposed to the sun.

These are some of the main things I pack for yacht trips! Now check out my latest trip, while waiting for another glamorous euro-tour this summer?
